Good day
I found this pair of sterling spoons among some plated ones at a car boot sale. The date letters seems to be for 1815 and it's made by J Newlands. I see the makers mark is overstocked over another. The spoons are about 18cm long and great looking for their age. Any information about The maker will be welcome.

So I did some digging and found that the original mark on these spoons would have been by Newlands & Grierson. N & G. I am still trying to figure out when they broke up.

The partnership is noted by the Edinburgh Incorporation of Goldsmiths as "first mentioned 1810" and "last mentioned 1816"

Thank you, I wonder if these spoons were remarked after they broke up. Still can't believe I found these among silver plated cutlery.
