info on LUTZ sterling, USA ???

I picked up this 3" LUTZ hand made sterling box today, and I cannot find anything about this presumably-American silversmith anywhere in my usual sources. It's not especially rare, as there are a couple pieces from the maker on eBay right now (including one just like mine).
Does anyone know anything about this company, or maker?
