Hi
I'd really appreciate some expert help with a silver watch I recently obtained in a job lot of silver.
I'm sure it is a Birmingham maker but it doesn't appear on the site list.

The letters are W.E
I believe the year is 1908 but if anyone can confirm this and the mechanism description I'd be most grateful.

Many thanks.

I believe that W.E mark was used by William Ehrhardt, Birmingham, England. I think he also had marks entered in London. Your W.E in an oval mark was first entered in Birmingham on February 20, 1907. This mark was used at least until 1923.
