So I got this Serving Tray from F.R.E.M. but I cannot find much about it, can someone help me out, thanks

This tray does not have official Italian marks from the 20th or 21st century and this raises some doubts.
It seems unlikely that this object is prior to 1935 and furthermore, judging from the photo, it appears to be very thin in thickness.
If it were made of 925/1000 silver I imagine it would be deformed over many years.
I would have it tested

Hi Amena,

The tray is very deformed, its hard to see but the bottom is all wobbly and on many places a bit broken, 2 of the 4 legs came off completely.
I found only 2 similar items one being sold as Sterling and one as plated, but both not exactly the same:

It should be tested with XRF, I try to find a place where they have it, as acid test are often no good and its thin.

Just one point of note, as the piece is marked 'MADE IN ITALY' written in English, then the item was likely intended for export and thus no official Italian marking would be required.

Thanks for the info, I was only able to find one crucifix from FREM being sold, but Im not allowed to share the website, so I'm still clueless
