Hi,
Just wondering if anyone recognizes this MH mark on bottom of a small sterling whatchamacallit? Also, does anyone know what you do call it? I'm thinking maybe a salt dish missing the cobalt blue glass liner - it's 5" long, ~ 2 1/2 high tho, maybe a bit big. Thnx for any help.

This is the mark of Newark NJ maker Moore & Hoffman used c. 1920s-30s. This does seems to be a little to large to be a salt dish. Maybe a sugar bowl or just a candy dish.
Also, most American silver salts did not have glass liners.

Hey Catman,
Thank you so ... much, would have taken me weeks, if ever, to find out. Hope I can return the favor sometime ...
if I knew anything <g>
