Seeking info on marks on 18th Century(?) cup

My family of Scottish origin emigrated to New Brunswick some time in the 18th or early 19th century. As part of my research trying to pin down a narrower date range, I've been trying to identify the markings on this cup. I'm not sure whether the cup originates in/near Scotland or elsewhere, and the only other clue as to its age is a hammered date and initials on the bottom: HDH 1775 (likely indicating this was given as a gift to one of my Henderson ancestors in 1775). Any hints or info about the marks on the cup would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Theoderich,

Thank you for this information. It is very meaningful to me, as it is now another piece of the puzzle of my family's history.
