Hi,
Welcome to the Forum.
The mark is very worn, but appears to be that of the Webster Company.
See:

:::: Was this set the inspiration for the Frank F. Whiting combination "Ash Tray And Coaster" glass objects with the sterling silver rims? :::::
::::: Frank F. Whiting made so many of these, but it seems like Webster made this set before Frank F. Whiting, so maybe Frank F. Whiting took the idea and just modified the glass design such that they could serve either as ash-trays or coasters. ::::::
::::::: I've never seen this set before, I assume it is much more rare than the Frank F. Whiting set. :::::::

Did I find something special here? I know nothing about these besides that Webster made the silver. I assume they're sometime between 1894 and 1910?

Excuse my ignorance, but what is this set for, and more generally what is Vaseline butter for?
Thanks for attention.

:::: I've seen many of the clear and cut-glass examples over the years, but never a vaseline (uranium) glass example, and the sterling silver rim & holder design seems different than all the other examples I have seen ::::::: If someone else knows more, or maybe has a catalogue, would like more information, but at this point I do believe this is a rare set and also I am believing it to be an early set that pre-dates the clear and cut-glass examples (this is just a general "feeling" I get). ::::: : : : ::: :
