If anyone can help me ID this maker's mark, I'd be very grateful;
It is stamped inside the bottom of a small "peppermint box" and I believe it to be Scandinavian.

Good guess indeed, it is a Danish maker. His name is Peter Johansen Berg in Copenhagen/DK. He was active around 1763-1770 and died around 1777. Rather little is known about him. He mostly made snuff boxes, "hovedvandsæg" and thing like that.

Thank you so much! Could you perhaps recommend any reference books that cover Scandinavian silver? The ones I have are mostly dedicated to English silver, American, and then just a page or 2 on "other" countries.

Scandinavia is not a country but a geographic area covering Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The books are usually country specific. Here you have the newest book covering Denmark:
Danske Guld- och Sølvsmedemærker før 1870, 4. udgave. Revidert og udvidet af Henrik Jakobsen 2022.
Publisher: Syddanske Universitetsförlag. (768 pages :-))))))) It is based on Christian A. Bøjes original book from 1946 (? ...if I remember correctly)
