Starnge thing seems to happen. I was looking into Marc Rosenberg's book for other reasons but coincidentally saw a very similar mark (FW) as number 4422. The text says that it is a "Steuerstempel" meaning "Tax Mark", used in Prussia around 1809. Perhaps Theoderic could shed some more light on this? This is his area not mine :-))))
