Reed & Barton Clarendon pattern confusion
Posted: Thu Nov 21, 2024 8:42 pm
I am going through boxes of silverware that I have inherited and trying to identify the different patterns and makers, etc.
I have two pieces that are marked Reed & Barton and both have engravings "Clarendon" on the handle. When I search the Clarendon pattern online, I find a different pattern identified as Clarendon. Is it likely that the maker would have labeled their pattern on the pieces, and if so, why do the online searches return a different pattern? I am quite baffled. I would also like to know the approximate vintage for this pattern. I know the one piece is a fish knife but I haven't found out what the forks are called yet.

*hopefully the photos post or the links work... this is my first time posting to the forum. I posted as a link just in case.
