Silver clasp, marked with the citymark of Alkmaar?
But the makersmark is unclear for me. Help is appreciated.

Not Alkmaar but the castle tower of Middelburg. This Middelburg town mark combined with year letter M, used 1779-1781. The maker's mark represents a lock-plate, so for an unidentified silversmith, active in Middelburg around 1765-1790.

Your welcome, under the town mark of Middelburg, I see a dolphin in triangle? A later duty mark for unguaranteed standard of fineness, used 1893-1953.
Peter.
