Reed and Barton Date ID

I tried the reference pages but the link was broken.

My dish reads REED & BARTON
Below is 3600
Below that is 12
Below that is USN

There is a Hallmark in a vertical rectangle, but I could not recognze or describe it.

The USN stands for the United States Navy.

For photo reference, the following appears to be the same basic item ordered by the U. S. Navy from the plain 3600 pattern...the unidentified symbol would seem to most closely resemble the upright version of the 1943 date code (also found on the back of American coin silver dimes of that era):

This particular oval service dish measures 8" along the base and just under 12 1/2" along the top. It's actual employment is yet to be investigated, but safe to assume it was not for sorting out spare torpedo parts.
