simpson, hall, miller & co vanity set date marks

Where can I get information to read the date mark on the vanity set that I have. I know the maker and that it is sterling, but the next marks are "C 532 Patented". Is there a website or book that I can go to to find out this information. Thank you.

There is no date mark, if you post photos, might be able to get an idea of age from the style.
