Candle holder/burner identification dating mystery

This Candle holder is a mystery. I know it is british as the first mark is of a crown with the letters E and C I think undernealth.
The next mark is C I think then and M. The fourth mark I cannot make out. There seems to be 3 things but i am not sure. The fifth is a P I think?
I couldn't get a good pic of the hallmarks as they are under the handle.
If you can give me a tip on how to photograph in a difficult place then that would be appreciated anyone.

That might be a set of silverplate marks used by Elkington & Company, Birmingham, England.
If there is an "M" in that set of marks it's probably from when their name was Elkington, Mason & Company (1842-1864).

Yes I think your right that it is an E not a C like I thought. Having seen that url confirms the other things too. Wow now I know what it is thanks so much!
