I am really wanting to know more about the dish and its origin.
It is marked on the back, near top, : 102735.
Then underneath, it has a very oblong diamond, that says "MH&EOEPGS"
I think that is the hallmark.
But I cannot find this hallmark on the site.
Underneath that it says " WEST&SON" with "DUBLIN" underneath.
I understand that is a retailer on Grafton St. in Dublin, Ireland.
Then, more than 2/3 of the way down, there is a "1".
No idea what the 1 means.....
I am trying to figure out if the 102735 at the top is the U.S. Design Patent number, or if it is a U.S. Mechanical Patent number.
Since it is retailed by West&Sons in Dublin, Ireland, I am not sure if it is American or British! And if the patent #'s apply! If they do, it is from 1870 or 1937, depending.
Please Help!
Thank You,
Janel
