I've identified everything but the date mark. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what it was. I looked at the information available but I'm not sure comparing the two.

Nice piece, it all seems to check for John Langlands of Newcastle, 1769-70.

Very good example of the Newcastle Lion Passant of the period Jacksons gives for 1759 - 79.

To save owners of small pieces of Newcastle silver confusion I should add that the assay office at Newcastle also used a very rectangular punch (easy to confuse wuth Exeter) during at least some of this period.
