Help needed identifying scottish curious badge

just aquired this interesting little number, i cannot for the life of me discern the date letter or the true mintier for it,i know its scottish but have pored through the jacksons big boy book and came up with little or nothing,have also examined the scottish section on the 925 category.
any information would be greatly appreciated.
it cerrtainly is a curious one.

Hi,
Your badge was assayed at Glasgow in 1951. The translation is "Not swayed by any wind" and is the motto of the Irvine family.
Jackson has the maker RGL as unidentified but was entered prior to 1903.

Hello.
Believe the RGL mark was used by the retailer R.G. Laurie Co. Ltd., Glasgow, Scotland.
They also had the mark entered at Birmingham.
