Hi,

Your badge was assayed at Glasgow in 1951. The translation is "Not swayed by any wind" and is the motto of the Irvine family.
Jackson has the maker RGL as unidentified but was entered prior to 1903.

Hello.

Believe the RGL mark was used by the retailer R.G. Laurie Co. Ltd., Glasgow, Scotland.
They also had the mark entered at Birmingham.
