One more "find" for me that I need your collective assistance with, PLEASE. This teaspoon (?) measures ~6.25 inches long. I THINK that it MAY BE the work of Thomas Shields, but I would appreciate an (several) additional opinions along with your assistance on who the other hallmark belongs to. Based on information from the family, it is possible that this item came from the Pennsylvania are, but...

I am QUITE sure that it IS silver, but is it safe to assume that it is coin silver?

Not American, but Scottish, and not a hallmark, but maker's marks only.

The Family IS Scottish, but landed in Pennsylvania before the Civil War (they think). I have ANOTHER spoon from this Family dating to 1824 (I think) that is DEFINITELY Scottish as it has a "Full Set" of Hallmarks, including the Scottish Thistle and the Maker's Mark of James Marshall of Edinburgh. I guess that I was HOPING that this one was American.

I would be HAPPY to post pictures of the other spoon, if you would like!
