The Norwegian silversmith Henrik Møller (1858-1937) of Trondheim was a major proponent of Dragestil, a Norse Revival style of the Arts & Crafts period that used Viking era and early Medieval motifs. Much of his work drew on designs found on early architecture of his native Trondheim. Astute in business, Moller catered to an international clientele including a number of Europe's ruling houses. Examples of Moller's Dragestil silver can be found in the Kunstindustrimuseet (Museum of Arts) in Oslo and the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim. |
