Re: silver candlesnuffer Hamburg?

The little type of round mark above the triangular mark I thought might be a maker's mark. It looks to be a fish. Maybe I am imagening things, but it is a mark struck (whereas the triangular marks are part of the fabrication).
Thanks for the help so far.

silver candlesnuffer Hamburg?

Hi could somebody help me decypher the marks on this candle snuffer I bought. The mark looks to be Hamburg (but a little hard to date exactly). There is an 818 below the mark, and a maker's mark that looks like the one from Matthias Fisscher. Does anybody know whether is is indeed Hamburg, or when i...

Help with Norwegian makers mark

Hi everybody, I have recently acquired an in my opinion very nice Norwegian silver pendant. It is quite extensively marked, yet the makers mark is a bit unclear. It is marked sterling Norway modelnr 316 and I think either RS or AS and 925S. Could anybody help me find this maker? Thanks in advance, k...

Czechoslovakian tea cups

Hi, I have acquired a few Czechoslovakian Art Deco silver pieces. Though I managed to find most makers (a Frantisek Bibus teaset and a Sandrik handled basket), I also bought a set of six teaglass holders. They date from the 1929-42 period and bear a mark M.V and a mark shaped as a decanter. I hope s...

Help with maker on arts & crafts grooming set

Hi everybody. I recently purchased a three piece grooming set from Londen 1908, which has quite an arts & crafts feel to it. I however have not been able to find the maker. It reads S.L.R. Any help with that is very welcome. kind regards, Kasper http://i.imgur.com/U16UPI8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/...

Re: Swedish? silver ring

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for the info. The other two marks are a Dutch import mark and a Dutch retailers/importers mark. As it was probably made specific for export, that is most likely the reason it is only marked with 830 and the fascimile signature (and not the three crowns and date letter), as that is ...

Swedish? silver ring

Hi everybody, I have a nice modernist silver ring which I believe is Swedish (but might also be Finnish based on the name). It bears a 830 mark and a fascimile signature which I think reads Uwe Jokainen. I can however find nothing on an Uwe Jokainen, so I wonder if I misread the name. Does this sign...

Re: German art deco cup

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I have not gotten any further with the piece so far. Now that I looked for Weißenfelser Silberschmiede, I see they executed pieces by a designer named Kurt Poetzsch, which may very well be the person the lower initials are from.
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,

German? Empire candlesticks

Hi everybody, I have a near pair of Empire style candlesticks made from 13 Loth silver. Both are marked with 13, but with two different maker marks. As both don't carry a city mark, I'm not quite sure whether these candlesticks originate from Germany, Poland or perhaps Jutland. Both also bear a late...

Michael Perchin tablebell

Dear forum members, I've included pictures of a tablebell which carries the makers mark of Michael Perchin and looks his style, however it is not marked as Fabergé and comes in a box of a different jeweller on the Nevsky Prospekt. Does anybody know whether the workshop of Perchin made items exclusi...
