Arabic Hallmark help ID, please!
Thanks in advance to all who so graciously share their expertise. I thought this was an Egyptian mark from Cairo but I am not sure I'm even close and would love help in identifying the mark and the age and purity if that information is something that can be learned from the photo! My gut tells me 19...

Help ID Mexico Eagle 3 Mushroom or RRe Hallmark, Mask choker
I'm perplexed by this hallmark. I thought I understood it, but it's one of the great mysteries of life. The choker links look like masks.

the image of the mark is to small - but it looks like a helm of a knight (to make a foto of silvermarks - I use a loupe and the camera) http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_marks_a1884_4.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; like "Vereinigte Silberwarenfabriken Düsseldorf&q...

Help ID German Maker Crescent, Crown, and ?
This is such a great site! I'm hoping to get more familiar with the marks and am learning a lot. Have identified much of the silverplate, which will allow the heirs to complete the sets if they choose. Here's a pair of german 800 spoons I feel I should be able to identify but I can't recognize the t...

Thank you both so much. Very useful information, much appreciated. Leslie --- Hello, the only J. Eichert I came across was J. Eichert from Koblenz, listed in 1903-05 as court supplier and jeweller and in 1942 as retailer of jewels, gold- and silverware. Koblenz is not in the Westfalia region of Germ...

Thank you, Theoderich. I now see that mark on several other pieces (minus the Eichert name) and will do some more looking and sorting before my next post. L.G.

Help ID Pre WWII German Silver Spoon J. Eichert?
I am looking for information about some silver pieces belonging to a concentration camp survivor whose family was from Weseke Westfalen. The neighbors who had stored the family's valuables gave her back a few pieces after the war and we are curious about the dates and makers. The family had lived in...

Help ID Jamaica Fork/Spoon w/monogram or maker mark ICB
I am confused by this pair, which look old and hand wrought but are stamped in a modern font, "JAMAICA." The hallmark on the back of the handles are worn and partially obscured but I hope someone can recognize it. The spoon measures about 7 1/2 inches and the fork 7 inches long. The silver...

Help ID 50s Modernist Sterling signed "R"? Brooch
I've looked through the forums and searched the net but can't find this signature anywhere. This piece is about 2 1/2 inches long and signed on the back Sterling with what looks like a script "R". I'm wondering if anyone recognizes the artist? The woman who gave it to me lived in New York ...
