Your cat pin was made by Jezlaine, a jewelry manufacturer in New York. I have earrings with similar scrollwork that I purchased in the mid 1990's.

Help with this very unusual beetle ring

I recently acquired this marvelous beetle ring. The markings inside look Native American, but this is like no other Native American jewelry I've ever seen. There is a rising sun mark with the letters CAH and the word sterling. On the outside there is a mark that looks a little too deliberate to be a...

Sorry, I meant photo 2 in the above post. Photo 3 is obviously an eagle mark.

Hello Byron, I'm pretty sure the mark in photo 3 is an eagle mark. You can see the rounded bottom of the mark and the tips of the wings. Wouldn't the maker's mark just be the initials inside the "Taxco Sterling" circle? Unfortunately, they are close to illegible. Maybe a "G" for ...

After staring at this for quite awhile, I see that underneath "Hecho" is "a mano". Which would translate to "Hand Made." Now if I could just figure out who made it...

Help with marks on sterling and agate(?) dragonfly brooch

Hi, I'm posting this under Mexican because I can see the word "Hecho" but there are no other marks to indicate that it is from Mexico. It is a beautiful 3-dimensional dragonfly with what looks like agate on the top wing. The bottom wing has a lacy dragonfly wing pattern. It has a loop to w...

Sterling and abalone ring with more than 1 eagle mark

I have been trying to educate myself about Mexican silver. I understand that the eagle mark 1 generally meant Mexico City and 3 was for Taxco. On a sterling and abalone adjustable ring I purchased there is a 3 mark inside with the usual Taxco 925 Sterling Hecho in Mexico mark and there is a 1 mark o...

Please help me identify my calla lily brooch..

Hello all, This is my first question for the forum. Hope the pics are ok. I've had this brooch for a while now and I haven't been able to identify the marks. It is marked Sterling and with the marks in the picture. Would it be from the early 1900's? I really love it and would like to know more about...

I think your necklace is by the Santo Domingo Pueblo. They have several artists that specialize in heishi necklaces.
