judging by the Thai writing at the bottom of the bowl and the design, I believe the bowl was made during that period. The craftmanship is not as nice as the older pieces. They are silver sterling made in Siam (now Thailand) by a very good jewelry maker, Thai Nakorn. Many of the silver pieces by this company are truely high caliber and beautiful. However, I have never actually tested the silver content to see if it is .925.

I believe the period is correct. More likely late 50's or early 60's.

Thai Mark

The language is Thai: Special and Number 1 Silver (which meant to say this bowl was made from highest silver content) Then, the numerical 10 and some Thai words (which meant to say the weight of the bowl is 10-Bath or 5 ounces. Very nice bowl. But, I believe it is a modern item not antique.

The description at the bottom of the bowl is: 'Number 1 Silver' (which means the best silver content) Then the numerical 10 which supposesdly represents the weight of the silver bowl which is 10-Baht or 5 ounces.
