Thanks, Qrt.S. The knives (x12) and other items of Russian silver have been inherited, but there is no connection with Russia that we know of. I am intrigued by the crest on the knife blades, it looks like the Russian Imperial crest. Would it be part of Morozov's company insignia, or could it have I...

Thank you, Qrt.S. Hope you come up with the maker, but there isn't much of a stamp to go on. A clue might be the fact that the maker's company is probably Vladimir Morozov. Good luck.

Thank you Qrt.S. I've had another look at the maker's mark, and although it is unclear in the photo it is a simple AB with the gaps in the B being filled. A further question - the design of these fork handles is identical to the handles on the knives in one of my other questions, can I assume that t...

Russian fish knives - St Petersberg - assayer?

I believe these fish knives (165 mm long) to be from St Petersberg, maker Vladimir Morozov, but his name on each knife appears to obliterate a previous stamp which cannot be read. The Kokoshnik stamp seems to be upside down, and includes what looks like the letters AP, which I think is A. Riktera. A...

Russian large spoons - St Petersburg - assayer? monogram?

I believe these large spoons (215 mm long) to be from St Petersberg, maker A. Liubavin, with an assayer of AH. Can anyone identify AH? and the monogram? http://www.grahambould.net/Spoon,_large.JPG http://www.grahambould.net/Spoons,_large_and_small,_hallmark.JPG http://www.grahambould.net/Spoons,_lar...

Russian fish forks - St Petersberg - another maker?

I believe these forks (155 mm long) to be from St Petersberg, assayer unknown, & the maker's mark seems to be badly stamped - the first letter is not obvious, but the second is W. Can anyone identify the maker? http://www.grahambould.net/Fish_fork.JPG http://www.grahambould.net/Fish_forks,_hallm...

Russian fish forks - St Petersberg - maker?

I believe these forks (155 mm long) to be from St Petersberg, assayer A. Riktera, but the maker's mark is a little unclear - the first letter is A, but the second is like a B with the 2 gaps filled in. Is this a Cyrillic letter, & can anyone identify the maker? http://www.grahambould.net/Fish_fo...
