No that is just where the frame has been cast. I keep going round the outside looking far a maker but I can see none.

Sorry for the confusing title but I have a two handled bowl with a very confusing mark, it doesnt look english except it has ENGLAND stmaped on the base as well. I dont know what material it is made of. The handle seem to be a later addition as they are just not the same quality as the bowl. http://...

Dutch hallmarks on ornate frame 1835 or 1935?

I have a small dutch frame with domed glass and would like some help on the date and possibly (if you can read the hallmark) the assay office. As far I can see the date letter is an A but I can work out the style and thought someone may be able to help dating from the style of the frame. I cant find...
