Old Mexican Eagle Stamp
I came across an old marking on a simple chain necklace, any thoughts to the date or maker? Looks like maybe 30s or earlier? Marked with an eagle with an M near it's talons and Hecho (en) Mexico 965 or 955 Thanks, Lisa http://imageshack.us/a/img801/4416/sfzw.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img15/5763/x52...

Unknown Mark
Hi, I was interested in finding out more about these two marks. One looks like a ringing bell with an MG in the cartouche. The other mark is of a 4 with a dot next to it. I'm not familiar with either one of these, not confident if it is silver plate or not. What do you think? It's from an ashtray if...

Re: Unknown mark on a ring
Your ring doesn't look very old, also from the reading it seems like Egypt didn't have a structured gold marking system prior to 1917, so it is very doubtful they would have used that mark. Not sure if the dots indicate anything. Pretty ring though.

Russian Ant Pin
Hi, I have this amber and gold ant brooch that features what appears to be russian markings on it. Is anyone is familiar with this maker's mark? Cuff Links Mark Shield
Hi, I have a pair of 10k and Sterling cufflinks marked Guad Mex Plata 925 10k. I believe Guad is Guadalajara. Does anyone know who the crest/shield symbol is associated with? Too bad they soldered the hardware right onto the maker's mark, but I guess they needed to be affixed somewhere :) Thanks! Li...

Unusual Mark on Clasp
Hi, i have this coral necklace and I am trying to figure out the origins. There is only one marking on the clasp and I didn't see the mark in the world section, and I haven't come across it before. Does it look familiar to anyone? Thanks, Lisa http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/969/img0264rw.jpg htt...

Earrings with Unusual Pictorial Mark ?Indian?
Hi, I recently acquired a pair of these earrings that are very costume looking, but tested as silver. They look Indian but I am unable to find any information on this hallmark/maker's mark. Look familiar to anyone? Thanks, Lisa http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/7103/earringslisa.jpg http://img3.ima...

Admin question
Hi, I just posted a question on the british colonial forum, but my post got moved to plated, I don't think that would be the appropriate spot for it, since it is not plated(I tested it for silver content and there are several deep gouges that were pre existing that don't point to plating or heavy pl...

WM Hove signed Wax Seal
Hi, I have this interchangeable wax stamp, which is missing the wax seal mold. It has the inscription WM Hove scratched into it, do you think this fits within the Revolutionary war period? Any information or insight would be helpful. It tested for silver, but is not marked anywhere. Thanks Lisa http...

Any help with the marks? not sure what the pictures show I believe the bottom image is upside down in the stamping and it looks like an F i a V. What do you guys think? Origins? jeweled charm marking
Hi, this charm tests for a high 14k and has some markings on it. Any guesses as to it's origins? You can press ctrl - or ctrl+ to adjust the viewing size...
