Need help identifying date & maker, please. Thanks.
It seems to me that this large spoon (27 cm) is French made late in 18 century, but that's all I could find... I'm even not sure if it's a silver made? I wonder, what date and maker are? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in anticipation... Reiner https://i.postimg.cc/2VWBk03p/spoon-a.jpg https://i.pos...

JayT, thank you very much for the info. It is much appreciated. Your remark that "Sometimes you should listen to what people tell you!" is absolutelly correct ;-), I surely should, but... the person who told me about French descent of that silver item wasn't quite sure about it. I've tried...

Hi, can anyone identify/guess marks at this large ladle? There are unknown hallmarks to me... I was told that this silver laddle was made in 18 century in France, but I doubt (about) it. I assume it's European origin but have no slightest idea in which (what) country it was made.... Does anyone know...

Re: Import Russian hallmark - need help to identify...
I already know that those items were marked in Russia/Riga 1908. It seems to me very strange mark 880, it looks like BB8 (bb8). Also do not recognize mark in the bottom, maybe it comes from the country Russia has imported silver cutlery. Any suggestions? https://i.postimg.cc/QtqHMPG2/unknown-mark.jpg

Thank you for all your research and information, I really appreciate your effort.
I just did more "research" but no more info were required besides that one mark contents a "wild boar head" ... I couldn't see it right before :-)

Re: Large spoon, 36cm. Help me to identify....
Thank you 'Ringo', any hint in that matter is always welcome... As far as I see, S. Martinsen was not known very well in his branch. It's nearly impossible to find anything about him, so I'm very glad that I obtained another piece of information.
