Re: Urgend help needed
Do you mean, that the object bears only 900 silver content mark and that "special" sign in oval cartoushe? If so, I was wrong in my suggestion, cause it based on the last picture (featuring soviet style assay office mark +"special" sign). Sorry for that. Of cause, you are absolut...

Khlebnikov cross pendant - another fake?
Hello, Below there are pictures of a cross pendant by Хлебников (as it is stated by the owner), which makes me feel very uncomfortable and suspicion about. It bears 3 marks that contradicts each other: assayer's mark - Яков ЛÑпунов, St. Petersburg, 1896-1903, company mark - ХлÐ...

Re: Soviet C45 Marking? Any ideas?
Hello again, Have to agree about the show. Even a good old Rus tradition became a show nowaday. "Everything for sale" is the main idea of the time of total consumption:(( As for the purpose of the object, I think, we can only make a correct statement if the post's author give us the sharp ...

Re: Soviet C45 Marking? Any ideas?
Some more to add. Opium was an illegal product in USSR. Anyone can't even imagine the container for opium produced at the state's owned factory. It's nonsence. If the jar is very small - it is sure "Ñольничка" - container for salt. There is nice Russian tradition to meet and greet...

Hello, This mark is not C45, but СЧ5, first two letters of "CÐµÐ²ÐµÑ€Ð½Ð°Ñ Ð§ÐµÑ€Ð½ÑŒ"- famous "Northern niello" jewelry factory in Great Ustyug city. The mark СЧ used from 1960 to 1965 (СЧ1, СЧ2 ..СЧ5). This particular mark was used in 1965. As for the purpose of the ...

Please help with unrecognized teaspoon mark
Hello, May be someone can help me with this teaspoon maker's hallmark. It bears regular crescent moon, crown and 800 silver standard mark (after 1886). Yet, the maker's hallmark depicting lion rampant supporting by his paws the "R" letter from the left - is still a mistery for me. Could yo...

Re: Please help to identify the teaspoon
to Postnikov: Sorry for mistake (Kashmir). I do know that "It's a men's world", especially in Russia, either in 19th centure or in soviet times or now. Dad had only made a suggestion that it could be Malisheva's work. He have not insist on fis opinion, either did I. But your irony that mor...

Re: Please help to identify the teaspoon
Hello, Dad.
What an interesting suggestion on AIM spoon master!
Somehow, I had a haunting feeling that this object is poetic and feminine in some way.
Do you have any pictures of Малышева's work and their original marks?
Could you please, show them here?
Thank you.

Re: Please help to identify the teaspoon
Just wondering: why the design calls Kashmir, what is so asian ="islamic" about it's feather-shaped handle?
Don't know why, but, on my opinin, the feathers, like flowers more corresponds to "Siver Modernism" (art noveau) style.
May be I am wrong in my suggestions...

Many thanks for your help!
To Postnikov for spoon origin verification and to Admin for "showing pictures".
Really sorry for pics, but, honestly, I do not know what I've done wrong.
It's already a second time when I put the pictures and they are not showing:((
Thanks again.

Re: Koch & Bergfeld ladle dating and crest info needed
Many thanks, Bahner, for your information.
Am I right, thinking that ladle were made at Koch & Bergfeld, and later, decorated with the family crest вy Hoer?
Should I post separate topic on crest to correspondent forum ?

English(?) origin silverplate fork confusing hallmark
Hello to everyone, Having spent some time trying to identificate this fork origin, I am still not sure neither of its origin or proper dating. Could it be George Paton's Edinburgh or George Piercy's London? Or it is not of English origin at all? Silverplate or silver? Definately, need some help from...
