yes, it appears to be a capital "U", that matches an 1815 London datemark. i don't have access to the Glasgow datemarks to match it up. so the general consensus is 1840?

Glasgow sterling ladle questions!

this appears to date to 1815, Glasgow. i read that hallmarks weren't implemented in Glasgow until 1819. Could this be provincial silver? any idea on maker "PA"?

i believe it is the Elkington Co. thank you! i read the link: they discussed date marks, but didn't have a key. the only thing left is to figure out the date mark. let me know if you know!

Stuffing spoon mystery!
