Sterling Water Pitcher Maker Initials "RB"?
Hello again. Well I believe I have identified this lovely water pitcher to be American and but I can't find a maker/manufacturer with a mark like this one "RB"? Any ideas? Thanks again. http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n592/pamelanj1/IMG_20110203_135942.jpg http://i1141.photobucket.com/...

Re: James Dixon & Sons Toast Rack, need help with date stamp?
Ok, I think the lightbulb is finally going on and I am starting to get it!. Since the date mark can not be the I in 1850, it must be the L in 1903, which the more I look at it, the more I am convinced! Thank you all and this forum for your education! I have many pieces I am trying to identify and wh...

James Dixon & Sons Toast Rack, need help with date stamp?
Hello, I have what I believe is a James Dixon & Sons Toast Rack, with Sheffield marks. Am I correct in assuming this is Sterling, if there are no electroplate marks? Can anyone help with the date stamp, it looks like a I or an L to me. There is also a number stamp at the bottom of 4558, and some...

Silver Dish, country of origin unknown, can you help?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me identify the original of this silver dish. The marks are teeny-tiny, so I did the best I could! Thank you. Re: 18th Century Chocolate Pot French and British Hallmarks
Hi all! I found the link to the John West hallmark and I think it does look like his mark. Attached is the link: http://www.silvermakersmarks.co.uk/Makers/London-JS-JZ.html . Please excuse me for being dense but are you saying that you believe he just added the hinge to the pot? At one point I was t...

18th Century Chocolate Pot French and British Hallmarks
Hello, I am a newbie here! I have had this chocolate pot in my family for years. The bottom of the pot has what I have been told is a French Hallmark from Roch Louis Dany, Paris 18th Century. It was thought he was the original crafter of the pot. The hinge has a second British Hallmark, either which...
