Thanks Pat. your photos are quite clearly letters H and T, and certainly in one it shows a 'rosebud' above a star. On mine, it's indistinct, and I'm wondering if there's another maker with initials N and T, although I've not been able to find one. I'll see if anyone else comes along on the forum who...

Is this maker's mark Hyppolite Thomas?
Hi. I have a set of 12 of these French oyster forks. Minerva and 1 mark/maker's mark on both the fork head and handles. The maker's mark appears to be that of Hyppolite Thomas, but I'm not 100% sure. It is very similar, but I can't positively identify an 'H' - it looks more like an 'N'. Does anyone ...
