Coffee Pot Identification Assistance
I had hoped just once I would be able to identify something on my own, but now, here I am again seeking the assistance of the experts. I do not know if this is silver or silverplate, but am guessing silverplate since I do not see a silver mark? The closest I couldfind was an unknown, probably Americ...

You could very well be right about the ostrich feathers, but if you look at the second figure from the left and magnify it, it appears to have snake eyes and a forked tongue sticking out, which is why I went in that direction. Honestly, I am completely lost on this item so anything could be right! A...

Help ID Maker: Ostrich Leather Wallet Made in England SS
I obtained this vintage wallet made in England of genuine ostrich leather. The accents are clearly marked 14K followed by SS on a circle. Initially I thought this to be 14K over stainless or silver, but then I noticed that the actual Made in England makers mark in gold leaf on the wallet itself has ...

24K Gold or Not?

If I could figure out a way to get that portion of the watch onto my flat bed scanner, at 14000 DPI resolution, I would be able to answer that question. I have a new camera that could probably get better results, but I have been unable to figure out exactly how the close-up features work. A member o...

Pyramid w/ Palm Tree Hallmark on 14K 1870-1910? Pocketwatch
My 10-year-old daughter, who shares my love for all things vintage, came across this beautiful little 14K pocket watch and asked me to get it for her. I did. Since opening it to take the pictures included here, the watch has kept accurate time non-stop for more than a week. Some of my expensive bran...
