Re: ID Amethyst Bracelet Country/Maker
That could be, that would not be disappointing. But, do you think it is Tibetan? There is so much Tibetan jewelry out there, but I couldn't find anything like this. The person that said it was Tibetan added that hers was a pretty high end piece. Sounding like Tibetan! (admin edit - see Posting Requi...

Re: ID Amethyst Bracelet Country/Maker
I have a new ID name but I am the OP of this post. I am still looking for info on this bracelet. Someone said they got one in malachite in the 1980's at an incense shop and it was made in Tibet. Anyone think that could be Tibetan?? It weighs 39 grams.

Re: Cuff Links/Buttons "PATENT" P.B. Mark
That could be. Have you ever known an American item to be just marked PATENT? I have seen the usual patented, patent pending and variations thereof but not patent.
Style wise, my guess is Austria/Germany. I have some new ideas for searching, if I find anything I will get back to this thread. Thanks!

ID Skull Ring Mark/Age
Hi, I have this skull ring that I think may be an older piece. The only mark I could find on it is on the forehead, but doesn't look like any mark I've seen before. Any info you could share as to age/country of origin would be great. Thank you! http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n501/kbeuning/ebay_...

Deco Pendant 935 P.D. mark
Hi, I have an Art Deco style pendant. It is marked 935 and P.D. in a rectangle. I am thinking it is German. Anyone recognize the maker mark? Thank you!! http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n501/kbeuning/ebay_photos/pend935purple.jpg http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n501/kbeuning/ebay_photos/pend9...

Re: Please help to identify ancient Silver Fibula with Pin S
This article explains how the pins work.

I posted the one I have (I think it's Moroccan) on another board here and figured all this out after I posted for info. I tried fastening the pin as the article described and it holds very well.

Re: Please help to identify ancient Silver Fibula with Pin S
Hi, in researching a similar pin that I have, I found that your piece is a penannular brooch. If you look up "Celtic Brooch" in Wikipedia, you will see the history and that they were made in other areas besides Great Britain.

Re: Silver CoralPin Ornament
Of course, now that I have asked, I have found out that this is a penannular brooch. According to Wikipedia: "They are especially associated with the beginning of the Early Medieval period in Ireland and Britain, although they are found in other times and places–for example, forming part of tra...

Silver CoralPin Ornament
Hello, I don't know what this type of ornament is called. It is silver with coral and a topaz color stone; there are no marks. The semi-circular hanging piece moves freely. Not sure what the two small holes at the bottom of the top part would be for. Any info as to origin/age would also be appreciat...

Cuff Links/Buttons "PATENT" P.B. Mark
I have a puzzling set of cuff links or buttons. They look like silver gilt, with turquoise and I think garnets. The mark is PATENT and P.B., I can find no metal purity mark. I got them from a dealer that buys from Europe, along with a couple other very old buttons that are unmarked. I read on anothe...
