A reader of my site sent me a picture of a large set of sterling silver that looks very much like a Stieff set from the turn of the last century.. but the mark is all wrong. Other examples of this same salad serving fork can be found at www.THESTIEFFCOMPANY.COM then look in the rare section. I have several examples of these pieces posted there. They are hand made silver made in the early factory on Cider Alley in Baltimore.

Never mind the pattern - it's Corsage. That does bring up a question though. replacements lists the pattern as active from 1935 - 1991. Is the "B" on some of my pieces "Pat. B" a patent 1937 date? Stieff Silver FLATWARE was NOT date marked. SO the B is not 1937. There were sever...

These spoons were made by LENOX under the KIRK STIEFF COLLECTION as late as MAY 1999. At my site, THESTIEFFCOMPANY.COM under the patterns section.. scroll down.. to the chapter on these spoons.
