Any way of finding out AGE OF PLATE CANDLESTICKS?

Hello

I have a pair of candlesticks, silverplate, not marked. Weighted(some cement-like filling the base), covered with green felt. Worn plate at some areas, showing a plated layer around 0,4mm. Victorian design.

Is there any way of of know if it is vintage or victorian/edwardian? thanks

thank you very much for the links. Of course, when you advice to avoid all non free nickel utensils, you also mean to avoide stainless steel. Correct? Thanks

Re: is ENPS safe, or toxic?

Thank you very much for your answer. I have a doubt: Certainly, it is said that nickel may cause problems, but I wonder if these problems are linked to pure nickel, or also to EPNS, as we know that ENPS is only around a 25% nickel, silver coated. Then I would like to know if this difference could ma...

Re: is safe to drink from old silver plate cups?

Thanks for your answers.

1- I asked about if the makers/brand name coud be of importance, regarding if we could know the base metal used, and if this metal is dangerous or not.

2- ¿Then old silverplate cups, dishes etc can be used in any circumstance? for example if no plate wear is seen?

Thanks
