Help needed for Taxco necklace. RD and 980?
I recently bougth this necklace. It is hallmarked with RD Taxco and 980. I presume the 980 is for the silver content, making it near pure silver. But can anybody tell me who marked their jewellery with RD? Thanks Andy http://sv1.letmehost.com/sv1/24/taxco.jpg http://sv1.letmehost.com/sv1/24/taxco2.j...

Enameled cigarette case, maker ID needed please.
I recently purchased this cigarette case, but I do not know who made it, I think it could be either from Germany or Austria, but the usual marks are missing. Does anybody know who might have made it? Who made this pendant?
Does anybody have an idea who might have made this pendant, I have had it a long time. I only know that it is silver, there is only one indistinguishable mark on the bail, for silver content, I think 800, but nothing else. There is a chrysoprase in the centre, with an amber cabouchon set in the midd...

Steers head on sterling enamel piece.
Hi all.
I hope this is the correct category, this looks like a steers head under the 925. Does anybody recognise this mark?
Thanks
Andy

Hi Matthew It was made in Germany by a maker by the name of Toni Rijk, she is/was German/Baltic working in Ludwigsburg. It seems that it is slightly earlier than the 70´s, I would say the mid century. Here is a picture from a book containing that type of jewellery, with the same mark. http://i89.phot...
