I've added another picture of the maker's mark on the clasp of the necklace and now understand it's Italian.

I have this marcasite stag brooch circa 1930s/40s and any info on the marks would be welcome. I've added a picture of the clasp which I don't think is the original. It's a star sign, 1, AR. There's also some capital letters with a couple of dashes in a lozenge shape. I have a silver filigree necklace circa 1930s bought in England. There is a clear mark on the back showing UUH but the silver mark on the clasp is unreadable.
