Tally Mark?

I don't have the piece in my possession so can't tell you if this a tally mark or not. If it's a 20th century item would there be a tally mark? I thought these marks were only affixed back in the "olden days". Thanks for your help.

Looking for help in identifying maker and year of manufactur

Lovely Birmingham chatelaine (glass case I think). Can't be sure of second letter in maker's mark. Can anyone shed some light. These are the best pics available unfortunately...thanks in advance. http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/12/33612144989.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/12/33612144951.jpg admin ...

Granmaa...Is there a pic of the whole mark available or is that it?

Byron...instead of a pearl could that be just a continuation of the base of the "M"? Just offering another possibility.

I should have cited Jackson's Pocket Edition at p152.

Fruit Knife

Are you sure about the date mark? Looks more like a 1898-99 mark.

Just as a followup, there is a pin soldered on the back, the spoon is meant to be worn as a broach. Under where the pin was attached I can make out the last few letters "meria". The letter in front of the m may be a u but can't be sure. Maybe this will help? Thanks again.

Patrick, once again, thank you very much. I have the Rainwater book and didn't even think to look there when I saw the Made In England Stamp on the piece. Regards...

Need help with silverplate footed mustard pot marks

I can't decipher the mark and will leave it to the experts for assistance. The bottom is also stamped Made In England and Mounts Silver Filled. What does the latter stamp mean? Also any idea on age, this piece appears to be somewhat older than the others I have posted. Thanks again. John http://img1...

Need help with English silverplate marks Birks?

I have these silverplate pieces and they are all similarily marked, rampant lion in a circle and "made in England" stamped under the lion. Are they Birks and if not does anyone know the maker and possibly how old they might be, I suspect they are recent. http://img1.putfile.com/thumb/2/430...

Help with maker small spoon

This tiny spoon about 5cm long was obtained in London back in the early 1960's. Marks on the back of the handle are HE RA (or HA BA, but I think the former) and "Sterling". Can anyone help with ID on the maker or origin. Also is it a salt or mustard spoon or just a trinket? Thanks. John ht...

Require help with Vesta marks

Can anyone assist me in identifying these marks. There are no town or date marks, only the marks depicted. Looking for possible age and origin. Thanks. Also, could the "F" indicate an import? http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=3844524" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false...
