Re: confirmation of mark
Hi Phil, Thanks for your thoughts. I was basing this off Irish due to Cormick possibly being the maker. I found a few items with this having a punch in a square with just MC but you mention others which is very helpful. There is another mark but it is very obliterated. I had the item tested and it c...

Re: Argentine Mark on Bolo?
Thanks Trev,
These are the only marks, the others are marked similarly. I am still digging around on this one, it has proven to be quite a challenge.
Many thanks again for embedding my mark image!
Best,
Elizabeth

I have searched extensively this afternoon for Romanian Hallmarks but am not finding much out. Does anyone ...

Re: candlestick hallmark
Interesting. I see that the Stockholm company did silver as well as silver plate. Thanks for this great lead. I saw the mark below is G but it is backwards and the G dates to 1768 which this company was not in business then. Could this mark mean something else?

Hi, I have a tea set that appears to be assembled due to the different makers marks. Three pieces (the teapot/coffepot/tray) are stamped Doreck (Franz Hubert Doreck, b. Austria / Germany, 1796-1875), assayed 13, indicating .812 purity, and the other remaining pieces are marked differently. I cannot ...
