Help with Monk mark on soup ladle
On this site I found that they used Monk marks on Munich silver...did they use them in any other countries? What does the "21" signify? The name looks like Y. H. Johansen, not too German sounding. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. http://img5.sellersourcebook.com/users/92239/dsc0...

Thank you Monte! With your info. I did go back and recheck the mark and "lo and behold" I did find a "1" located at the forehead. What does the "1" indicate? Sadly, the lozenge is so poorly stamped and tiny, I just can't get a good picture of it with my old camera. http...
