Re: Help ID 925s Hallmark Brutalist Pendant
Thank you for your answers. I had trouble remembering how to embed photos and my attempts didn't show on the preview so I couldn't tell if they would show in the post! I appreciate you taking the time to embed the image. Will try to wash away the green and leave the fun industrial patina.

Help ID 925s Hallmark Brutalist Pendant
http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leslinaw/library/ I'm in love with this sculpted piece, which is hand forming and highly textured and I'm guessing is unique and by a studio artist and I may never learn who made it, though I understand why they did. It is marked with a double-struck 925S stamp and ha...

Re: Help ID Green Man or Silver Gargoyle Brooch 800?
I think I've figured this out after looking at every photo of Marius Hammer hallmarks on the Internet. It does look like the central part of the signature and the swan heads are definitely snakes. I am also thinking maybe it's 830 silver and also that a Solje/Solge isn't always for a wedding, althou...

Help ID Green Man or Silver Gargoyle Brooch 800?
I can't figure out the letters. I thought maybe Marius Hammer but it's not quite a match, although the stamp looks like it's not complete. Also, is this a Solje? And is it a Green Man? And are those swan heads or snakes? Thanks so much for taking a look! These boards are always so informative. https...

Re: Help ID 800 German? Jam or Condiment Jar?
Oh, thank you. I guess the oval does look Italian. I think I'll clean this and see if I can find another mark and search through the Italian Silver discussions

Help ID 800 German? Jam or Condiment Jar?
Sorry- I don't know what this is but maybe it's for jam? It's about 3.5 inches in diameter and the cut crystal insert is about 2 inches tall. I think it is German but if anyone recognizes and can suggest a date that would be very helpful! As always, I imagine I see marks that may or may not be there...

Re: 19th C Reticulated Brides Basket W/Grapes &Oval Hallmark
Hi Lenaglass, Maybe I'm hallucinating too, but check out the marks of Czechoslovakia at: http://www.925-1000.com/foreign_marks.html Trev. haha! Let me cogitate on that one. Thank you, Trev. It's confusing to me because the applied foot and the cast border don't seem like silver yet the pierced bowl...

Re: 19th C Reticulated Brides Basket W/Grapes &Oval Hallmark
I might be hallucinating but I thought maybe this was a hallmark as well. I think I've been looking at this piece too much, trying to figure out if I should keep it or let it go and i'm starting to see patterns in the surface blobs!

Re: Strange hallmark - Oriental perhaps?
The design is based on the Mayan Calendar and is design often seen in Mexican and Peruvian silver. This piece looks contemporary but I can't make out the hallmarks and am guessing based on the flat, embossed style and what I can see of the lettering font. I can't tell for sure where it's made but wo...

19th C Reticulated Brides Basket W/Grapes &Oval Hallmark
I wonder if anyone recognizes the hallmark on this swing handle basket, which I believe is from the late 1800s but am unsure. There could be other marks but everything is so worn I can't be sure. I imagine this is heavily plated but it could be 800 silver. I don't know. It's awfully heavy so I do th...
