Thank you for your insights, Oel. I thought the anchor looked too ornate for a Birmingham mark. That, combined with the fact that the lion is facing the wrong direction had me stumped as to where to look next. (Plus, I'm completely new to this silver thang.) I've frantically been trying to delete this post because I got the hallmarks on two pieces confused (in my befuddle forum newbie head). The marks shown are the correct marks. Duh! (I cannot find the "edit" or delete link for this post as mentioned in FAQ.)
