date seems confusing
hello, these are the marks on a teacaddy. I am fairly certain the maker is Henry Matthews but the date design has me baffled Any ideas appreciated. Noel

I think I have it now. This was made by a country that subscribes to the mark convention, and the mark is the scales. Plus REM is responsible for the mark, whoever they are?

Hi, iffy, because it tries to look like Br. sterling marks, but says R E M - .925 - and a couple of marks that are unreadable. Noel

This one has me stumped. I have tried numerous times to ID the marks. Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction
