Hi. I have a spoon with enamel work. It is marked on the back with 800, a stamp of a fir or pine tree, and what looks like a bird with the letter c or m through it. Hi Elizabeth. Very tarnished silver can be successfully cleaned by using Simichrome Polish or Wenol Polish. Only one hardware store in my area carries these.
