There is a silver vesta for sale which is listed as Chester 1892 with Maker mark as HW..This maker isn't listed on the site, could anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks again JayT, I would think that anything Victorian is early (ish)...I can forgive him, he is an old boy with limited eyesight..i struggled to get a good look at the makers mark, having to turn it at a certain angle under a light to be able to identify it...got my 20x and 60x loupe coming tomor...

We can only speculate, but definitively the base belonged to something else.Marks are struck on its side, I doubt they were transposed. Many Thanks, It is as I expected, I got it home and looked to the rear of the piece behind the stamps and i could see where it had been plugged and rubbed to try and blend it into the other silver. Surely the basket should be stamped somewhere? if it is indeed silver
