Re: Silver from Pest Marker and Design
Yes, regarding to the object that you show, the hammering is a part of the design and done after the main structures of the piece where made by machine work. So I guess the workshop of Rudolf Jedlicska belongs to the smaller ones as he used hand wrougth techniques to work out the shape of this tray....

Re: Super Inox AP 'fake" silver 800 cutlery?
Just read the thread under the focus on the chemical test with the dichromatic-acid. Greenwood comes to the following conclusion: There is no silver whatsoever, proving both the fakeness of this AP800 cutlery and the unreliability of acid-testing on metal. Regarding my experience with the acid-test ...

Tane Mexico russian / cossack style / kovsh bowl
Do somebody knows the background of the so called "cossack kovsh bowls" produced by different mexican silversmiths for the retailer TANE? The design is very uncommon for mexican silver and reminds indeed at the russian kovsh-bowls, but I have doubts about this assignment. The original kovs...

I checked this marks but looking on them and see the significant details is a great difference.

Hanau Pseudo or other Pseudo Mark
On a small plate marked with "800", I found the marks "N under Crown", "Bird runnig left" and "Flower/Shamrock". Could this be a unknown Hanau Pseudo Mark? All ideas are welcome! Thanks! https://abload.de/img/punzenmail14jn4.jpg https://abload.de/img/800mailqd...

Re: Need help to identify candlesticks
Hello Dennis,
I think the lion rampant and the 830S points to "Gebrüder Dehyle" Schwäbisch Gmünd, but the halfmoon and the crown is missing. So the items maybe older than 1886. Dehly starts 1820 so that can be possible. I cannot assign the oval and hexagonal marks on the second foto.

Re: Silver Tarnishing Question
Hi, This may seem like an odd question. I have about 50 pieces of silver, with the odd plated item, all in a cabinet. The silver is English, Russian, Japanese, French, Indian, Italian, American, German and Austrian. I only clean it once or twice a year, as it generally seems to stay tarnish free, a...

A Torres Vega vs. L Vega Ethnic Design Bowl
Bille Hougart associate the triangular "A Torres Vega" mark and the linear and underlined "L Vega" mark to one maker: A. Torres Vega. By comparing different objects I found that the A Torres Vega works showing a standard designs while the L Vegas objects showing much more elabora...

Homa ??? Copper Silver
I found this mark on the bottom of frying pans and cooking pots. This cookingware is made of Copper (about 1,3 mm) and it is lined with Silver (about 200 µm !). The handels are made of brass. I think the Silver was fused on the copper by pressure (old Sheffild technique) and not by electro plating. ...

Re: Industria Peruana 925 Tray
Hello Chanbola,
I think it is just a mistake on typing the letters. The company is correctly "CAMUSSO". The complete marking is: Industria Peruana Plata Esterlina 925 than "Flagg" Camusso". To your main question I cannot help you.
