Re: William Aitkin?
This what I meant by clip/loop - I don't know the correct term: https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg I note that there is what appears to be a matching clip/loop on the opposite side. These would have held an elasticated band to keep the cigarettes in place ...

William Aitkin?
I had William Aitkin written in my notes. Does anyone have an idea on the WA? I think it is Birmingham 1900. Nice sterling pill case or snuff box?

Asian/Russian tea strainer
This piece is somewhat of a mystery. Does the 916/sickle/star/P mean it is Russian or Asian? What type of silver is this? Does anyone know?

Cartier Sterling Cordial set
Does anyone know what "65/ 7 1/2" designates or means? It is on the bottom of the tray that came with 6 cordial glasses. Thank you. It would be very helpful to know a date range.

Re: German Swan
Yes, I found the bird in that Hanau section. However, I still cannot identify the first mark. It reminds me of ballet toe shoes hanging down. The crown and crescent are clear. So, are you saying it's a dead end, but likely Hanau. I don't think I fully understand Hanau. Thanks.

1893 Flask
Hello. I have a flask whose cap turns into a cup. Clever. I am forced to assume it is silverplate since it lacks Sterling or any numerical mark. I cannot make out the other (Maker) letters. They seem like WS_& Co...maybe. Can anyone help? https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-10...

I love this Site! I have a pair of German? silver swans. I can make out the crown and crescent, 800, some kind of bird (found on the Hanau section here) and another mark I cannot ID. Can anyone help ID this piece and mark?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Asian hallmark or makers mark?
I hope I am posting this pic correctly. This is some Asian mark on the bottom of 3 hammered Sterling cups that were sold as accompaniments to a hammered sterling flask. The flask is marked 950 Sterling. The 3 cups have this mark. Help. THanks.

Re: Horse drawn carriage
Wow. That's a terrible picture I posted. The Crown/N/10 is printed top down. Then the Hallmarks are: A lion facing right. It looks like II (roman numeral 2) under him A Minerva head with an M on it A weird sideways small u. The initials KAN are down further and upside down compared to the hallmarks.

Does anyone know what KAN denotes? I assume it's someone's initials. Also, what do you think the crown/N/10 means?
thanks
