Re: French Maker 1819-38 T.B.
WOW! Thanks so much for your information and help! This is amazing research. Really interesting to know where to find the information too for the future! Thanks so much! :) It's a set of 12 mother of pearl handled silver bladed knives, so would make sense to have been made where you've said they are...

HI
thanks for the reply. Why are the Department numbers different to the real life ones? Do you have a list of the Dept. numbers or know where one is located?
Thanks for the assistance though - helps greatly! Hopefully the maker will be discovered soon!

Re: Anybody able to identify these marks?
Sorry my bad - no sooner had I posted this than the thought that they could be Hanau came to my head, and sure enough, they are.
I'm sure they are this guy:
Karl Kurz Silberwarenfabrik: Kesselstadt, end of 19th century

Anybody able to identify these marks?
Hi All, I believe these marks are Dutch (they're the closest thing I've seen thus far) but am having trouble making them out properly, and knowing which year. They seem early to me, but not sure. There may be some overstamping of the import mark over the first part of the hallmark... Any help would ...
