Russian spoon xk maker mark?
Spoon marked with xk maker mark? Any idea who it could be. From reading the forum the kokoshnik mark indicates 1899-1908 and the assayer anatoly apollonovich artsybashev vilnius. Bowl is engraved and has date 1905. Handle has a persons name engraved. Thanks for your time. https://www.925-1000.com/pi...

Re: Candle Stick Holder confusion about marks
Thank you for the replies. You have certainly given me a lot to think about. I do believe the candle holder is silver but cannot confirm actual purity. I am happy with it as a decorative item. As to the question of initials above the head I cannot make out any detail in them or confirm they are init...

Candle Stick Holder confusion about marks
This candlestick holder only has the purity mark and what I think is the St. Petersburg town mark from 1700-1730. This was the only town mark that looked close from reading this website. No other markings. It weighs about 12 ounces. Any thoughts on the item? https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg ht...

Re: Filigree basket - Question about hallmarks.
One more pic. I did try researching but I am no expert. I read about three punches being applied at same time. To me the middle mark looks like it may have been double punched but the other two do not. Also I read about A K mark by two assayers from middle 1800's to late 1800's. This piece does not ...

Filigree basket - Question about hallmarks.
https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg Hi. Silver Filigree basket. At least I think it is silver. Do you think the hallmarks look correct? Any information you want to share is appreciated. The one hallmark does not show well, it looks like a 9. something. The ...
